Working safely with an agent
An agent connected to your Space can change it. Most of what it does is harmless, and a small number of things are not — so it is worth knowing which is which before you start.
Drafting is safe. Publishing is not.
Section titled “Drafting is safe. Publishing is not.”Content an agent creates is not visible to customers until it is published. That makes drafting genuinely low-risk: you can ask for a dozen cubes, look at them in the cube list (draft cubes carry a Draft cube badge), and delete the ones you do not want, with nobody having seen anything.
Publishing is the point of no return. That is the verb to keep for yourself.
Ask before it acts
Section titled “Ask before it acts”The most useful habit is asking for a plan rather than a result.
Look at my product cubes and tell me which ones are missing detail. Do not change anything yet.
Then you decide what to do about it. This costs one extra exchange and prevents almost every unwanted change.
Never delegate
Section titled “Never delegate”None of these are things an agent is better at than you, and all of them are expensive to get wrong.
Good things to delegate
Section titled “Good things to delegate”- Auditing your storefront against a standard you describe.
- Drafting content for you to review.
- Answering questions about analytics.
- The same small change across many cubes, once you have checked it on one.
Review what it did
Section titled “Review what it did”After a session where an agent made changes, look at what actually happened rather than trusting the summary. Agents describe their work optimistically.
Check the cubes it touched, in Admin, before publishing anything.
