Sync your data
A sync copies what is in a connected system into your Inbox as Sources.
What a sync does not do
Section titled “What a sync does not do”That is worth internalising, because it means you never need to hesitate over running one.
Run a sync
Section titled “Run a sync”From Sources, or from the integration in Settings, start a sync.
It runs in the background, so you can leave the page. A large catalogue takes a while — thousands of products is minutes rather than seconds.
What lands
Section titled “What lands”Everything that came across appears in your Inbox as Sources: the raw material, as it arrived, not yet turned into anything.
From there you transform what you want to use.
Syncing again
Section titled “Syncing again”Re-running a sync refreshes your Sources with what is currently in the source system. Existing Sources are updated rather than duplicated.
Re-syncing does not rebuild your cubes. That is a separate step — see Keeping your content up to date.
When it fails
Section titled “When it fails”Sync logs records every run and what went wrong. The most common cause is an expired connection.
