Deleting a Space
Section titled “Deleting a Space”Deleting hides every cube, block, version, structure, menu, uploaded file and analytics record in that Space. Your Shopify catalogue is untouched — Rubikc only ever read from it.
Deleting also frees your Shopify store and the Space’s slug. The next time you open Rubikc from that store, you get a new, empty Space and setup starts from the beginning. The deleted Space cannot be brought back.
Uninstalling the Rubikc app in Shopify, or closing the store, works differently. The Space stops syncing straight away, and reinstalling within 48 hours restores it as it was. After 48 hours the Space, its uploaded files and its custom domains are permanently deleted.
Before you delete
Section titled “Before you delete”- Confirm you are in the right Space. Check the name.
- Only the owner can delete a Space. Admins and members see Delete, disabled, with that reason.
- If a custom domain points here, repoint it first, or you will have a domain serving nothing.
- Export or note anything you want to keep. Nothing is exported for you.
To delete, choose Delete Space, type the Space’s name to confirm, and confirm. A confirmation page follows. If this was the last Space of the account Rubikc created for your Shopify store, that sign-in is deleted too; open Rubikc from Shopify to start again.
Alternatives
Section titled “Alternatives”If you want a Space out of the way rather than gone, marking its cubes as drafts or repointing its domain achieves that and is reversible.
