Review your Cubes
Onboarding leaves you with a storefront full of cubes you did not write. This is the point where you find out how good it is.
Start with the Feed, not the list
Section titled “Start with the Feed, not the list”Open your storefront and swipe through it the way a customer would. The cube list in Admin tells you what exists; only the storefront tells you how it feels.
Look for the things that are hard to see in a list:
- Cards that all look the same, or images that feel flat.
- Products where the wrong thing is on the card.
- Detail that runs on too long before it gets to the point.
Then work through the list
Section titled “Then work through the list”-
Open Cubes in Admin.
-
Spot-check a handful across different product types, rather than reading every one.
-
Open anything that looked wrong on the storefront and fix it there.
Fixing a Cube that came out wrong
Section titled “Fixing a Cube that came out wrong”You can edit any cube by hand, and your edits are kept if the import runs again.
If a whole category of cubes is wrong in the same way, that is worth fixing at the source instead of one at a time — running the transform again with different choices is usually faster than editing fifty cubes.
What you will need to add yourself
Section titled “What you will need to add yourself”An import can only build from what is in your catalogue. Nothing will create:
- An about page, or your story.
- Lookbooks and campaign pages.
- Contact, shipping, terms and similar — see Add a standard page.
These are ordinary cubes you create when you want them.
