Versions tab
A Version is the ordered list of blocks customers see. Each language has its own, and a language can have more than one. Extra versions share the public link.
The extra versions and the traffic split may not be available on every account.
Choosing a language
Section titled “Choosing a language”Switch language at the top. Each language is arranged independently — changes to one do not affect the others.
Main feed item and Cube details
Section titled “Main feed item and Cube details”A version is split into two labelled areas:

Drag to reorder within the details, or to swap which block is the main feed item.
Add from the library, in four groups: Content (this cube’s blocks), Global content (shared blocks), Surveys, and Generated blocks. See What goes on a Version.
Whether a block is live
Section titled “Whether a block is live”Cube blocks that are not live show a warning icon next to Edit. Open it to see Unpublished or Edited since publish. Live cards have no icon. Shared blocks, surveys and generated blocks do not use that warning. Generated cards have a brush for styling that block on this version; see What goes on a Version.
If the main feed item is not an image, video, or main feed item, the same icon warns that those types are recommended there.
Unavailable items
Section titled “Unavailable items”If a block on the version no longer exists — it was deleted, or a shared block was removed — its card shows Unavailable item. Remove it with Remove unavailable item on the card, then save.
Saving
Section titled “Saving”Saving stores the arrangement. A version has no separate publish action — the order is live as soon as you save it. Each language saves separately; the language buttons show how many have unsaved changes, and Discard throws away changes you have not saved.
If unpublished cube blocks are on the version, saving asks what to do: Publish blocks and save, or Save version only.
Traffic split
Section titled “Traffic split”A language can keep several versions of the same link, and a traffic split sends returning shoppers to different ones so you can compare them.
To start, pick the language and choose Make A/B copy at the right end of the language row. The copy is a new version of that language on the same link. Copy blocks too is on by default, so an edit to a block on the copy changes only the copy. Turn it off to reuse the same blocks and change only their order. A language can have four versions.
Once a language has more than one version, a row under the languages lists them. Choose one to edit it. The one marked live is what search engines see, and what a visitor sees when Rubikc does not yet know who they are. The pencil renames the selected version in Admin; the public link stays the same.
Nothing changes for shoppers until you start a split. Set up traffic split on that row opens the split:
- Choose at least two versions.
- Equal split divides people evenly. Custom percentages gives each version a share, and the shares have to add up to 100.
- Start split starts sending people. Save for later keeps the setup without starting it, and Discard split removes a saved one.
While a split is running, the row shows each version’s add to cart rate, and the versions and percentages stay as they were when it started. A returning shopper keeps the version they were given.
Stop testing on the row shows each version’s results since the split started. Choose the version to keep, then confirm with the button that names it, such as Keep English B live. The link does not change. Stop without a winner leaves the live version as it was and stops sending people to the others.
The same table is on the cube’s Analytics tab, under Traffic split results: one column per version, with add to cart and purchase rates, dwell and counts, and how far each rate is from the live version. A line under the table says whether the add to cart difference is clear or could still be chance. A split’s results cover the time it ran, whatever dates are picked for the rest of the tab, and stay after it finishes. Running splits are listed first, with the dates and how many days each ran.
Stopping a split leaves only the live version on the Versions tab. The others are hidden, and a hidden version does not count toward the four versions a language can have. Blocks copied for a hidden version leave the Blocks tab too, unless one of them is also on a version you still see. To keep working on the other versions, tick Keep the other versions in the Versions tab before you stop. For the next split, make a fresh copy of the live version.
A shared block is the same block on every version that includes it. An edit there shows on each of those versions. To keep an edit on one version, copy the version with Copy blocks too on, or place a different block.
