Why isn't my change live?
Work through these in order. The first one is by far the most common.
Fastest check first
Section titled “Fastest check first”Open Cubes and look at the Content column for the cube in question.
| Badge | What to do |
|---|---|
| Draft cube | The cube is off the storefront — step 4 |
| Drafts | You have unpublished edits — step 1 below |
| Unpublished view | A version has blocks that were never published — steps 1 and 2 |
| Empty order | That language’s version has nothing on it — opening the cube shows the default-language version until you add blocks (step 2) |
| — | Nothing is pending, so the cause is further down this page |
This is quicker than opening cubes one at a time, and it works across your whole Space at once.
1. Publish the Block
Section titled “1. Publish the Block”Saving a block and publishing it are two different things. If you saved your edit but did not publish, customers still see what was there before.
-
Open the cube and go to the Versions tab.
-
Each block card that is not live has a warning icon next to Edit. Open it to see Unpublished or Edited since publish. Unpublished has never been shown to shoppers. Edited since publish means shoppers still see the older content.
-
Publish the ones that should be live — from Publish blocks and save when you save the version, or from the Blocks tab.
2. Check it is on the Version, and saved
Section titled “2. Check it is on the Version, and saved”A block that is not on the version for the language you are viewing will not appear at all.
Open the Versions tab, pick the language, and confirm the block is in the list — and that you saved after adding it.
3. Check the language
Section titled “3. Check the language”Each language has its own version. Arranging your default language does nothing for the others. If someone opens a cube whose version in this language is empty, they see the default-language version instead of an error.
Confirm you are looking at the language you changed, and that the language you care about has the block on its version.
4. Check the Cube is published
Section titled “4. Check the Cube is published”A Draft cube will not appear on the storefront no matter what is inside it. Open the cube, go to Settings, and uncheck Draft cube when it should be live. The same badge shows on the cube list so you can spot these without opening each one.
5. Look again properly
Section titled “5. Look again properly”Browsers cache aggressively. Load your storefront in a private window before concluding that something is broken.
Still stuck
Section titled “Still stuck”If it is live for you and not for a colleague, you are probably looking at different languages or different Spaces. Compare the exact URLs.
