How cubes are built

A cube is one destination — a product, a page, a story. Building one has three parts.

The cube

The container. It has a type — product, home or general — a title, a handle, and its relations to other cubes.

Creating a cube gives you somewhere to put content. On its own it shows nothing.

The blocks

Each block is one full-screen card. Images, text, video, galleries, quotes, add-to-cart, reviews, forms.

Blocks belong to the cube and live on its Blocks tab. Writing one does not put it in front of anybody — it is material, waiting to be used.

The versions

A Version is the ordered list of blocks customers actually see, and there is one per language. It is live as soon as it exists — you save a version, you do not publish one.

You put blocks onto a version. The first one is the cube’s card in the Feed; the rest are what someone swipes through after opening it. A block also has to be published before it appears.

Tip

The order on a version is not the order on the Blocks tab. A cube can hold twenty blocks and publish six of them, in a different order, in each language.
