Working in another language
Every language your Space supports has its own version of each cube — its own list of blocks, in its own order. Arranging one does nothing for the others.
Set up a language
Section titled “Set up a language”-
Open the cube and go to the Versions tab.
-
Switch to the language you want.
-
Add the blocks that belong there, in the order you want.
-
Save the version.
-
Make sure those blocks are published, on the Blocks tab.
Repeat for each language.
Blocks and languages
Section titled “Blocks and languages”A block is published or not — that state is the block’s, not the language’s. But which blocks sit on which version is decided per language, so the same cube can show different content in different languages.
Blocks can be filtered by language on the Blocks tab, which helps once you have more than a couple.
Keeping languages in step
Section titled “Keeping languages in step”Two habits help:
- When you change one language, note which others need the same change.
- Before a campaign, check every language you sell in, not only your default.
Adding a language later
Section titled “Adding a language later”Adding a language does not backfill anything. Its versions start empty. Until you put blocks on them, a shopper who opens that cube in the new language sees the default-language version rather than an error. That is a safety net, not a substitute for arranging each language.
Across a whole catalogue, re-running the import for that language is much faster than doing it cube by cube. See Turn Sources into Cubes.
